Romain Pizzi BVSc MSc DZooMed FRES MACVSc(surg) MRCVS, a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons recognised specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine, is Special Lecturer in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine at the the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine. He is also a veterinary surgeon at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland Edinburgh Zoo,  the Scottish SPCA Wildlife Rescue Centre, and occasionally perfroms specialist surgery for selected private veterinary practices. His special interests include keyhole surgery in all species of animal, having performed surgery on patients form 50grams to 650kg in weight, and he has trained with numerous notable human surgeons.
